Privacy Policy
How Kit Quote collects, uses and protects your personal information.
This Privacy Policy was last modified on 4 November 2026.
Kit Quote Ltd (company number 17052662) (“Kit Quote”, “we”, “us”) operates the website at kit-quote.co.uk (the “Site”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have over it. By using the Site you accept the practices described here.
We are the data controller for the personal information described below. Our registered office address is 5 Vicarage Road, Northampton, England, NN5 7AX.
GDPR – Information Collection and Use
When you complete the demo request form on the Site we ask for your first name, last name, company name, work email address, contact number, whether you are a manufacturer, distributor or other, and any message you choose to add. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, arrange a demonstration of Kit Quote and keep a record of the request.
Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interests – responding to a business enquiry you have made of us – and, where you have given it, your consent. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.
How We Collect Information
- Directly from you, when you submit the demo request form or contact us by email.
- Automatically, when you browse the Site, through cookies and analytics (see Log Data and Cookies below).
- From third parties, where a colleague or business contact passes on your details so that we can contact you.
Log Data
Like most websites, the Site records technical information your browser sends automatically. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages. This data is used to understand how the Site is used and to diagnose faults.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device that allow a website to recognise your browser. The Site uses cookies for essential functionality and, where you consent, for analytics and measurement through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
You can set your preferences at any time using the cookie banner on the Site, and you can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Refusing non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the Site, though some parts may not function as intended. The Site may also embed content from third parties, which can set their own cookies.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and is hosted on WP Engine’s managed infrastructure. Access to form submissions is restricted to authorised Kit Quote personnel.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised modification date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Will Any Of My Data Be Given To Third Parties?
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Site and respond to enquiries, and only to the extent needed to do so. These currently include our website host (WP Engine), our email delivery provider, and Google for website analytics.
We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights.
Will My Company Data Be Secure?
Business contact details submitted through the Site are held under the same safeguards described in the Security section above. Enquiry records are stored within the Site’s content management system and sent to our team by email. Access is limited to those who need it to respond to your enquiry.
We retain demo request records for [ADD RETENTION PERIOD], after which they are deleted.
Where Can I File A Request To Access, Rectify Or Remove My Data?
Under UK GDPR you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have your information deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to request a copy in a portable format.
To make a request, email us at admin@kit-quote.co.uk. We will respond within one month. You can also opt out of any marketing communication at any time by replying to ask us to stop.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
